Bordeaux

Bordeaux is a city with a rich natural and built heritage, recognized in 2007 by the inscription as an exceptional urban ensemble of a large part of the city (under the name "Port of the Moon") to the World Heritage of UNESCO. Nicknamed the Sleeping Beauty, Bordeaux is also classified as a city of art and history. It is the second largest city in France with the highest number of listed monuments, just after Paris. The protected sector is one of the largest in the country (150 ha).

But it also owes its world renown to its famous vineyards, so a cellar visit is imperative if you go through Bordeaux.

Culture

A rich historical heritage :

Several ways are available to visit the city of Bordeaux: On foot, by bus, tram, tourist train, bike, boat ... World Heritage listed it will offer many architectural surprises as the monument to Girondins, Place des Quinconces, Notre-Dame Church, Cour Mably, Grand Theater, the Saint-Pierre district, the Place de la Bourse and the 18th century facades ... There are plenty of activities in Bordeaux, between shopping on Rue St Catherine, or a stroll through the many gardens (two are listed as remarkable gardens in France). For all your desires, you can find your corner of greenery.

You will also find the Science Theater (cultural programming carried by Cap Sciences), The Pink Diamond a Cabaret-Music hall show, the Château de Vayres which offers many activities for the whole family...

The Vineyards

With 117,200 hectares cultivated and a production of five to six million hectoliters of wine per year, the Gironde is the third French wine department in terms of global production after Hérault and Aude, but the first for AOC in France. volume. A visit of the biggest cellars is therefore essential if you pass near Bordeaux: Château Figeac (Premier Grand Cru Classé), Château l'Arrosée (Grand Cru Classé de Saint Emilion)...
