From the cottage you will find many small trails, accessible on foot or by bike, that will take you into the surrounding woods. And for the bravest cycling routes (all levels) will be available in the cottage.
Of course Royan and its surroundings offer many opportunities for walks.

On foot :
To the north and south of Royan, a totally accessible coastline, kilometers of walks, paths, cornices built in clean site, directly at the seaside are open to all.
The walk from Royan to Pontaillac offers all the diversity of the Royan coast with its succession of conches of fine sand and rocky ledges and magnificent views of the tip of Grave, Cordouan and the ocean.
The Foncillon promenade, in front of the Palais des Congrès, faces the tip of Grave, on the opposite bank of the Gironde estuary.
The walk continues towards the pedestrian path that leads to the cornice of Chay. The trail continues on a gentle slope from the Chay promontory to the Chay sand conch. After this we find the promenade arranged between the sea and the small road that leads to Pontaillac by the conches of Pigeonnier and Gilet. A break will be necessary to discover the coast cut beyond Pontaillac until Saint-Palais-sur-Mer and the rock of Pont du Diable.

Jogging question :
The area is a paradise for all practitioners of all levels. The trails on the ledges overlooking the sea are certainly some of the nicest places to run. The course is different each time, not only by the colors of the sea and the sky, but also according to the direction of the wind !

By bike :
The Charente Maritime has many cycle paths throughout the department.
For cycling buffs it's the place to be !

From the property, you can enjoy a circuit of 19Kms which can be declined in shorter circuits to satisfy the whole family (these circuits are put at your disposal in the lodgings).
